There are also appliances to help correct minor imperfections. 

• Tooth aligner:  This is a type of retainer, which is worn at nighttime.  However, the retainer can move teeth since it is made from a mold where the teeth have been reset to a more ideal position. 

• Simpli5:  This treatment involves a short series of five (or less) clear aligners to correct minor crowding or spacing.  Each aligner is worn for about six weeks.
